I use the command: cower -vdfu to check for updates and overwrite old stuff. Forgive my lack of understanding - would you be willing to explain what this problem was all about? I'm a little daft about these AUR packages. The checksums in the now working PKGBUILD are included below.
#CANNOT RUN PRIVATE INTERNET ACCESS INSTALLER INSTALL#
(edited on 15:26 (UTC) by I used the command you suggested, and the install was a success, but I was hasty and neglected to clone the package. => Finished making: private-internet-access-vpn 3.3.3-7 (Sun 03:27:14 AM EDT) => Creating package "private-internet-access-vpn". Here is it working once I moved the PKGBUILD into the old directory left by trizen in /tmp/trizen*

=> ERROR: nf was not found in the build directory and is not a URL. => Making package: private-internet-access-vpn 3.3.3-7 (Sun 03:28:53 AM EDT) Here is the output on the failure after updating the PKGBUILD and running makepkg -s in a clean directory. I had a problem it wouldn't want to fetch the nf after I updated the checksum but I had the temp directory from the aur helper in this case trizen (something new I started using because of mkeedlinger's post before I was packer/yaourt) and it had the nf from the failed fetch/build so I just moved the updated PKGBUILD into that directory and it worked fine. Here for anyone sick of waiting for the checksums to be updated => ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! => Validating source files with sha256sums. Rolling back to Kernel 5.3.0-51 made all of the difference. For whatever reason Wireguard would not properly run on 5.3.0-53 for me so PIA would never recognize it as installed and the "Use Kernel Module" would be grayed out, even after Wireguard is installed per link in PIA help section instructions. Seems to come up periodically after reboots for some reason.įor those running on Linux, I am on Mint 19.03, there seems to be some new issues happening with the latest kernel Mint is using, 5.3.0-53 (Ubuntu is using a much newer kernel so this may be resolved already in other distros). What has worked for me, every time this happens, has been to go into the help menu in the settings and click "Reinstall WireGuard Network Adapter." PIA will restart and I can connect with no issues. I have had this issue as well on Windows. If you do make a ticket, please make the subject, "ATTN:SMR". The following link will give you the ability to create a support ticket: If this does not work, please open a ticket with us and we can provide you with a preview build with a fix. Once this is done, please try and connect using WireGuard.
#CANNOT RUN PRIVATE INTERNET ACCESS INSTALLER DRIVER#
If this does not work, please try manually deleting the "wgpia0" adapter through Device Manager:Ģ. Under Network Connections, look for an adapter called "WireGuard Tunnel"ģ. Right-click the adapter and select "Uninstall device", then click "Uninstall" (Do not check "Delete the driver software for this device")
#CANNOT RUN PRIVATE INTERNET ACCESS INSTALLER WINDOWS#

We are sorry to hear of the trouble with connecting on WireGuard and we may have a workaround for you.
